What is Gum Arabic?
This substance is a water-soluble resin from the acacia tree, which has multiple uses. This resin, also called Gum Acacia, can be found in two forms: prepared (soluble) gum arabic, ready to use, or gum arabic in pieces (dry, to be prepared).
How to prepare dry gum arabic:
Place the gum arabic stone in a glass jar with twice as much water and heat in a bain-marie.
Stir until completely dissolved and let it cool down, you have to get a thick liquid.
When it is ready, keep it in the fridge, there are artists who can keep it for up to a year, but we recommend trying to make as much as you need for each moment.
